Per Diem Pharmacist – Genoa Healthcare
Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum & UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties associated with the processing of prescriptions. This role covers locations in Hammond, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Mandeville and surrounding areas.
Primary Responsibilities
- Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
- Provide information to customers about medications and their use
- Focus on providing superior customer service
- Log data into the computer
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
- Administration of immunizations as allowed by state boards of pharmacy
- Perform any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Current pharmacist license
- Candidates will undergo a standard license and background check
Compensation & Benefits
Pay ranges from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (all benefits subject to eligibility requirements).
