nAs a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams on patients using specialized equipment. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

nOn-call shifts required (evenings & weekends)
nLocation: Riverton Hospital (can also cover shifts at Alta View hospital for additional hours)

nMinimum Qualifications

Current License in state of practice.

Clinical Board Certification, i.e. American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

Basic Life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

IV certification for healthcare providers.

One year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

What You'll Do:

Perform nuclear medicine exams per department protocols

Prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure proper patient identification
n n - n
Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
n n - n
Follow all radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements (NRC, state, etc.)

Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor for reactions
n n - n
Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards

Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort

Support team workflow and assist with training as needed

Float between Riverton and Alta View sites as needed

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
