Overview
Outpatient Diagnostic Center of Alabama is seeking a patient-focused MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team. This is a PRN (as needed) position to assist with vacation coverage, call-outs, and other staffing needs. Location: PRN coverage for outpatient centers in Madison and Huntsville. Schedule: daytime and evening coverage, with occasional weekend shifts. Evening and weekend hours are eligible for shift differential pay.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations following approved protocols to acquire diagnostic quality images.
- Prepare patients and equipment, ensure safety, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to optimize imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and image labeling; adhere to radiation safety guidelines.
- Provide patient-centered care and contribute to a positive imaging experience.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum associates degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiology program.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered by ARRT in Radiography or ARMIT; MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT required upon hire; must maintain current registration. State licensure as applicable.
