Financial Assistance RepresentativeValley View Hospital is seeking a qualified individual to work in our Patient Financial Services department as a PRN (as needed) Financial Assistance Representative.This position is PRN (as needed), day shift. On-site only in Glenwood Springs!Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred!GENERAL OBJECTIVES:The Financial Assistance Representative willingly and effectively assists patients with all questions or issues related to the revenue cycle using exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills.Calls unrelated to the revenue cycle will be properly handled to ensure patients' questions are resolved to their satisfaction.Uses Microsoft Word and Excel along with Meditech to manage accounts.Communicates in a compassionate and professional manner from a strong revenue cycle knowledge base.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:High school diploma or the equivalent.A Certified Patient Accounts Technician certificate is preferred.Experience:Admissions or billing background in a hospital or other healthcare setting is preferredSkills:Typing 50 wpm is requiredBilingual (English/Spanish) is preferredExceptional customer service skills requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications is requiredComputer and clerical skills requiredMust have strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skillsMust have a demonstrated ability to address difficult situations and resolve conflict with ease, poise, and tactMust have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.SALARYEntry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.Position wage range: $20.00 - $28.87/hour + 14% PRN Differential.BENEFITSRetirement plans 401(a) and 403(b) plansEmployee Assistance ProgramAnnual Bonus to eligible PRN employees based upon organizational and individual performance.Employee discount on Valley View Medical ServicesUse of Sunlight and Aspen SkiCo day passesAPPLICATION SUBMISSION END DATEThis position will be open for a minimum of three days and until a top applicant is identified.About Us Located between Aspen and Vail, along the Colorado River, Glenwood Springs is a mecca for outdoor adventures in our beautiful mountains.
