Requirements

    Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) certification

    n
  • n
  • n

    Current ARRT (R)(CT) or board-eligible for the CT Registry

    n
  • n
  • n

    Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

    n
  • n
  • n

    Current BLS certification preferred

    n
  • n
  • n

    IV certification and contrast administration experience preferred

    n
  • n
  • n

    Excellent patient care and communication skills

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a dependable, patient-focused PRN CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic CT imaging in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This position offers flexible PRN scheduling with opportunities to work at multiple outpatient imaging centers throughout the DFW area.

Responsibilities

    Perform high-quality diagnostic CT examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Safely administer intravenous contrast media in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast administration, recognizing and responding appropriately to adverse reactions.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining exceptional image quality.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Practice radiation safety by following ALARA principles and utilizing dose optimization techniques.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and contrast administration in the electronic medical record.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Maintain CT equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations.
