WVU Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Duties
The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine. Additional responsibilities include providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity and establishing preventive health practices for patients.
Qualifications
Candidate must have a PA or NP degree and be eligible for a state medical license. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner
- Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
- Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- CNOR Certification required.
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
Experience
- Emergency medicine / Urgent care experience preferred.
- Eligible new graduates will be considered.
Minimum Qualifications for Physician Assistant
- Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
- Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant training program required.
- Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
Experience
- Emergency Medicine / Urgent care experience preferred.
- Eligible new graduates will be considered.
