The Role
We are seeking a Private Wealth Advisor to join our Branford team. This is a senior client-facing role for an established advisor who wants to practice in a boutique, independent setting—without sacrificing institutional-quality resources. You will own and deepen relationships with high-net-worth households and business owners, lead comprehensive planning conversations, and work as part of a tight-knit team that treats clients like family.
This role is well-suited to an advisor who already manages a book of business and is looking for a long-term home, or to a high-performing advisor ready to step into a VP-level practice with support for growth, succession, and complex planning.
What You Will Do
• Serve as a primary advisor and trusted fiduciary for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.
• Lead discovery, planning, and review meetings covering investments, retirement, estate, tax-aware planning, insurance, and businessowner / exit planning.
• Design and implement personalized financial plans and portfolio strategies aligned to each client’s goals, risk, and time horizon.
• Partners with internal colleagues and outside specialists (CPAs, estate attorneys, insurance professionals) to deliver coordinated advice.
• Support and grow defined-contribution / retirement-plan relationships where appropriate.
• Cultivate new relationships through referrals, community involvement, and professional networks—while protecting the quality-of-service existing clients already expect.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, integrity, and client-first decision-making.
• Uphold LPL and firm compliance, documentation, and fiduciary standards.
Who You Are
• Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) registrations; ability to register through LPL Financial.
• CFP® strongly preferred; CEPA®, CIMA®, CRPC®, AIF®, or similar designations a plus.
• 5+ years in wealth management, private client, or a comparable advisory practice.
• Demonstrated success advising high-net-worth households and/or business owners; an existing book is welcome and will be supported.
• Comfortable leading complex conversations: concentrated stock, liquidity events, multi-generational wealth transfer, and retirement-plan design.
• A natural relationship builder who listens first, educates clearly, and earns trust over years—not quarters.
• Aligned with a fiduciary, fee-aware, planning-led philosophy. Not a product-first salesperson.
• Grounded in community. Experience in or connection to the Connecticut shoreline / Greater New Haven area is a strong plus.
• Life, health, and long-term care insurance licenses, or willingness to obtain them.
Benefits
• Health insurance
• 401(k) with a 3% safe harbor contribution
• Profit sharing
• A boutique independent platform with LPL Strategic Wealth support—open architecture, robust technology, and institutional infrastructure.
• A collaborative partner culture, not a siloed producer model.
• A partnership path for established advisors exploring a long-term home or a customized succession conversation.
• An office in Branford at 265 East Main Street, with free parking and a professional setting between I-95 exits 54 and 55.
• A team that gives back locally and values life outside the office.
