A leading private equity firm is looking to add a Private Equity Associate to its investment team in Kansas City. The firm invests in lower-middle-market businesses and works closely with management teams to support growth and long-term value creation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new investment opportunities and conduct detailed financial, market, and industry analysis
- Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and investment return analyses
- Support due diligence, transaction execution, and preparation of investment committee materials
- Conduct company and industry research to develop investment theses
- Work closely with senior investment professionals, management teams, advisors, and other external parties
- Support ongoing analysis of portfolio companies and value creation initiatives
- Assist with sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a similar transaction-oriented role
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Experience with M&A, transaction execution, or investment analysis
- Strong academic background and demonstrated intellectual curiosity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong ties to Kansas, Missouri, or the surrounding Midwest region are highly preferred
