We look forward to meeting with you!Our Private Debt (PD) Asset Class is currently seeking an Associate Investment Manager (AIM) who will assist in the management of the CalPERS Private Debt Portfolio and Enhanced Return Portfolio.
This includes actively contributing to the implementation of the strategy, as an active member of deal teams and project teams. The AIM will maintain a positive team management approach while demonstrating CalPERS' Core Values of Quality, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Accountability, and Balance in accordance with personal work ethic in alignment with CalPERS Investment Beliefs.Duties include but are not limited to:Evaluate and underwrite investments.Conduct due diligence, perform analyses, identify risk factors, negotiate terms and conditions and review contractual documentation.Use market-leading sources of investment information, technology systems and platforms as well as quantitative tools and programming languages.Lead and conduct market research and in-depth analyses on private debt industry trends and opportunities.Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
