Our client, a leading global asset manager, is seeking an In-house Counsel to join its Private Credit business in New York. You'll support fundraising and fund formation as the business grows in the US — working across registered and unregistered investment companies, BDCs, fund formation, regulatory filings, product development, governance, marketing review and more.
This is a senior, high-impact legal role on a team with ambitious US growth plans.
What you'll need
- 6+ years of legal investment management experience, ideally with major law firm training and in-house experience
- Deep experience with Investment Company Act of 1940, BDC fundraising and private credit funds; who can raise 3(c)(7) funds and SMAs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams in a fast-growing organization
- Strong communication skills; comfortable working with C-suite and senior stakeholders
- Hybrid – in office 4 days a week
- Significant bonus potential as well as possible equity for more experienced candidates
