Private Client Associate Attorney – New York CityDirect Counsel is seeking a mid- to senior-level Associate Attorney to join a growing Private Client practice in New York City. This opportunity involves sophisticated estate planning, elder law, estate and trust administration, estate litigation, and transfer tax matters for high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, nonprofit organizations, and closely held businesses.The attorney will collaborate with colleagues across offices and play an integral role in a team-oriented practice committed to providing exceptional client service.Requirements4+ years of experience in estate planning, preferably with an emphasis on transfer tax planning for high-net-worth individualsExperience with trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings, trust administration, and gift and estate tax returnsAbility to produce high-quality work with minimal supervisionStrong academic credentialsExcellent written and oral communication skillsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the New York Bar, or eligibility to waive into the New York Bar promptly after hirePreferred QualificationsExperience advising clients on elder law matters, including long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and special needs planningExperience with trust and estate litigationAdmission to the New Jersey Bar and in good standingCompensation & Work ArrangementThe anticipated annual salary range is $280,000–$335,000, with actual compensation based on relevant skills, experience, training, location, and other applicable factors.
