Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Process Quality Engineer to support manufacturing process development, quality planning, and production readiness. This direct-hire, onsite role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working hands-on with manufacturing teams and improving both process capability and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Provide hands-on manufacturing and quality engineering support from product development through high-volume production.
- Participate in APQP activities and support manufacturing readiness assessments.
- Develop and maintain control plans and inspection plans.
- Support PPAP, FAIR, FMEA, and PFMEA activities.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify quality, efficiency, and reliability improvements.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve production and process issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action efforts.
- Assist with dimensional inspection and measurement activities as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering highly preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, process engineering, or quality engineering experience for candidates with a bachelor's degree.
- Experience with APQP, control plans, PPAP, FAIR, FMEA/PFMEA, or related quality planning processes.
- Understanding of manufacturing process development and production quality requirements.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification or practical experience preferred.
- CMM programming or operating experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection methods preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
