Guided by our values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect, we are committed to delivering meaningful value for shareholders, customers, employees and the communities where we operate.Printing Press Helper – 1st shift ($16 to $19)Responsible for assisting the operator in all activities associated with running the printing press including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.Assist with set-up of rails, print, and die cut section on machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniquesAssist with inspecting all dies before and after running to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next runHelp to ensure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly securedMonitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and printHelp check anilox rolls for damageMaximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speedAssist with job duties on the machineCrosstrain on other machinesComplete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality DataSwitch duties with other helpers as necessaryComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeepingAdheres to production schedule.Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures.

SWR employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.May be assigned to other projects and dutiesHigh school diploma or GED.Prior work experience in the corrugated industry, preferred6 months' experience as a Press Department Helper, preferred6 months' experience in the Press and Finishing Department, preferredAble to read and follow instructions on factory mastersAble to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
