Temporary Technician Position
Requirement of temporary technician to configure and deploy approximately 750 printers to various locations throughout the US. The project will require the candidate to perform the work in our offices in Reading, PA. Work is to be performed during the hours of 8-5 M-F. Business casual attire is required.
Candidates will be expected to lift packages up to 30 pounds during the course of performance of the work. An outline is being provided of the overall tasks below:
- Unbox a small label printer
- Load a temporary ribbon and labels to perform configuration
- Attach the printer to a computer for programming
- Print a sample label to confirm proper configuration
- Remove the temporary ribbon and labels for reuse in the next printer to be programmed
- Label Printer with Correct IP address
- Rebox printer in original packaging for transport
- Label Box for location destination
- Gather printer and selected supplies to create a starter pack for the project
- Transport printers from work area to shipping area
- Use shipping system to ship printer to desired location
- Update ticketing systems of work performed as detailed in supplied processes
- Update spreadsheet documenting IP, Location, new password for admin account and SNMP settings.
- Possible remote support of customer setup / configuration issues
- Additional tasks as assigned.
