Principal UX DesignerAmazon is seeking exceptional talent to help develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems that will transform automation at scale. In this role, you'll design intuitive digital experiences that bridge advanced technology with human needs, enabling customers to work effectively in technology-enhanced environments. Your designs will transform automation through control interfaces, monitoring dashboards, and operational systems that prioritize user needs, safety, and efficiency. You'll create simple yet powerful solutions that balance technical requirements with user needs, directly impacting customer experience.Key job responsibilities:Work in a highly ambiguous environment to define UX in a first to market productSet vision and execute on building intuitive interfaces and experiences for industrial technology applicationsCreate user flows and interaction patterns that simplify complex operations for customersDevelop and maintain scalable design systemsPartner with User Researcher or lead user research initiatives with operators and field personnelBuild and test prototypes for various use casesCollaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teamsEnsure consistency across multiple services and interfacesDocument and communicate design decisions effectivelyBasic qualifications:Experience in usability testingExperience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar13+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experienceStrong portfolio demonstrating complex system designProven track record of shipping production-ready designsPreferred qualifications:Experience in managing UX Design and rapid prototyping effortsExperience guiding, training and mentoring othersExperience designing for industrial or technical environmentsKnowledge of human factors and ergonomicsBackground in safety-critical or mission-critical system designExperience designing for operations or manufacturing settingsStrong understanding of data visualization and complex systemsBachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related fieldAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
