Role Description
In this role, you will be part of the Low Voltage Vendor Management (LVV) team and will collaborate with internal OCI teams and external cabling vendors to deliver new sites, support space and power expansions, and add customer capacity.
The LVV team is seeking experienced vendor managers who have worked directly in infrastructure deployment or supported continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivering data center capacity at scale. Your ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to data center delivery will be critical to maintaining project timelines.
This is a high-impact role responsible for leading, driving, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical data center infrastructure builds on our roadmap. The position offers a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and requires effective engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including design, engineering, operations, supply chain, external vendors, and network delivery teams.
Major responsibilities include:
* End-to-End Delivery: Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned workstreams, including vendor management, the procurement lifecycle—from requests for proposals through purchase order issuance—continuous improvement, training and education, and customer delivery.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and costs.
* Project Management: Oversee a broad portfolio of global data center projects, with the goal of delivering capacity to customers on time and as efficiently as possible.
* Project Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies that reduce complexity and increase the speed of delivery for data center infrastructure projects.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular project status updates, conduct monthly business reviews, and address concerns promptly. Frequent communication with executive leadership is expected
Responsibilities
Supports Product Lifecycle activities to include Bill of Material (BOM) management; New Product Introduction (NPI) activities; material transitions; and End of Life (EOL) management as demonstrated by key activities in each of these areas. Can manage through the pressure associated with mission critical programs; have detailed organization techniques to manage multiple, concurrent complex programs; and strong relationship building skills to enable effective influencing and results. Can deliver succinct, impactful and professional communication at all levels of the organization. Works collaboratively builds reciprocal relationships with different parts of the business, partners and customers. Enhances Oracles competitive advantage by using insight gained across organizational boundaries to inform future practices and increase synergies. Demonstrates leadership by motivating and inspiring others to align their actions with the larger organizational goals.
