Job Overview
In the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Center (SETC), we work across the entire Systems Engineering lifecycle from concept development to sustainment. This position is for a Senior Engineer focused on Hardware/Software Integration, Verification, Flight Test, and Platform Integration. Responsibilities include supporting hardware buildups, integration, design verification tests, environmental tests, qualification tests, data analysis, and leading a small team in integration and test activities.
What You Will Do
- Perform integration, verification, and testing of Effector systems to ensure performance according to specifications.
- Support testing efforts: develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation and execute tests in simulated and real‑world environments.
- Hardware buildup and integration: understand requirements, complete physical builds, document, and certify readiness for the next stage.
- Plan and execute tests at various hardware build levels, including electromagnetic interference, live battery, RF, electrical operational, weight, center of gravity, thermal, and vibration.
- Platform integration: plan and execute integration of Effector systems with customer subsystems or launch platforms in lab or field.
- Flight tests: plan and execute test missions, prepare assets, monitor telemetry, and coordinate with customer, military, and test range.
- Troubleshoot and analyze: identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through data analysis, debugging, failure reporting, corrective action, and fault‑tree analysis.
- Perform data analysis: collect and analyze data to verify performance and provide detailed reports.
- Create and modify documentation for reviews, including Test Readiness Review, Consent to Ship, and Test Data Review packages.
- Collaborate with internal functions, customers, suppliers, and sub‑contractors and lead a small team.
- Support occasional travel to test sites and vendor facilities, typically one- or two-week durations, up to 25% of the year.
Qualifications
- You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 8 (5) years of relevant experience.
- Experience in one of the following areas:
- Systems integration and test in lab or field environments.
- Planning or executing platform integration or flight test missions.
- Collecting and evaluating data to diagnose and solve technical issues.
- We Prefer:
- Leadership experience in integration and test activities.
- Experience on military platforms (aircraft, ship‑based, or ground‑based).
- Technical documentation experience (trade studies, test plans, procedures, reports).
- Presentation experience managing and presenting data to stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD.

Compliance and Eligibility
This is a U.S.–based role requiring U.S. citizenship and a security clearance (Secret). Candidates must be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to the start date. The role is located onsite in Tucson, AZ.
