Located in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. The Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System. It is an essential operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives.This position will perform some or all of the following duties, focusing on early-phase (concept, requirements, and design) activities of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle:Experience with MBSE approaches and tools (e.g., Cameo and/or Tableau)Facilitate both formal and informal engineering technical reviewsCreate, review, and critique interface documents, system requirements, verification documentation, architectural documentation, and engineering estimatesInterface with key stakeholders, including the MDA customer and working-level counterparts, as neededParticipate in Agile development planning and execution, including iteration planning and status updatesMaintains frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to complex technical issues related to specific projectsWork will be carried out in a designated closed area.

This role is a full-time in-office position with no remote work availableBasic Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related discipline with 1 year of relevant work experienceApplicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to startWillingness to travel 10% of the time for business needsPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Systems Engineering is highly preferredCertification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) CertificationCertification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBFMust have Systems Engineering or Architecture experience with test skills, preferably on a DoD programExperience with one or more components of the Missile Defense SystemExperience with complex Command and Control Systems, particularly those with extensive networking capabilitiesWhat We Can Offer You: Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that fosters your growth, supporting both your success and the company's.
