This hybrid role encompasses responsibilities across both Systems and Software Engineering disciplines.
It involves managing the full product development lifecycle and providing ongoing support for a custom Patriot Communications System management software application utilized directly by the warfighter. The position requires strong technical expertise, effective problem?solving abilities, collaboration skills, and a dedication to delivering high?quality solutions that address the critical needs of the warfighter.What You Will DoPerform extensive hands-on work in development and test labs with communications hardware, supporting activities such as development, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing product support.Design and optimize IP communications network architectures to meet the unique requirements of the Patriot system.Develop configurations and settings for individual communications devices across a wide range of hardware.Create orchestration and automation solutions to enable efficient software management of the communications system and its associated devices.Software development in Python.Provide ongoing technical support to various Patriot Communication Systems around the world.Assist in the development and mentoring of new team members, fostering knowledge sharing and team growth.Provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers supporting Communication software application development for an individual Patriot program(s).Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.Software application development experience using Python or comparable programming languages.Qualifications We PreferExperience in Patriot Program (or similar program) system design, development, integration/verification, and sustainment.Experience with Voice over IP (VoIP) communication design, configuration, and integration. Certifications in IP networking (e.g.
