The Strategic Communications team is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer in a role committed to creating creative and cost-effective solutions for our ground and airborne systems.As part of Collins Aerospace, Mission Systems organization, we specialize in developing advanced communication systems, ground and flight computers, sensors, cyber and software solutions, as well as providing integration of Mission Systems. As part of the Strategic Communications Department, the Systems Engineering department supports a variety of communications systems including SATCOM (including AEHF, EHF, X-Band, Ka-Band, Ku-Band, C-Band, and PTW), Line-of-Site (LOS) Radio Terminals and Secure Switching Networks.What You Will Do:Oversee the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to ValidationAct as a Subject Matter Expert within discipline with advanced to expert knowledge of work areaOversee and perform lab activities including definition, setup, configuration management, and testingEnsure Modeling, Hardware, and Software Interfaces utilize a scalable ontologyOversee and support the Integration of Solutions within their target environmentCoach, review, and delegate work of lower-level professionalContribute to the development of goals of the discipline and planning efforts (Cost and Schedule)Influence others regarding policies, practices, and proceduresManage moderately sized projects or processesManage the entrance and exit criteria of Design Reviews, Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification TestingReview, moderate and document major changes in systems or processes to solve difficult and often complex problemsAnalyze and document system behaviorsSupport system trade studies, requirements analysis, allocation to subsystemsQualifications You Must Have:Strong integration and test experience including test procedure development, test execution, test reporting, and test automationKnowledge of or application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Proficient in tooling to include Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.)Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start dateU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
