What You Will Do
- Serve as a technical lead and systems engineer on challenging software development projects such as the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) or the Battlespace Command and Control Center (BC3).
- Be engaged with exciting and innovative advancements in Multi‑Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies.
- Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (IV&V).
- Serve as Technical Leader of medium to large engineering development teams.
- Act as systems engineering discipline subject matter expert for department, mentoring other engineers and solving critical technical problems with innovative solutions.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Experience with design and requirements derivation for software; some coaching and mentoring experience.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with any of the following systems: Link 16 Tactical Data Link (J series messages), VMF (K series messages), Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control systems.
- Understand and apply commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the systems engineering field (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, Mil-Std-499B).
- Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, and Cameo.
- Experience with configuration and test of cloud‑based software deployments.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques and applying them as a Cost Account Manager (CAM).
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance.
