This is an onsite role in Goleta, CA.What You Will DoServe as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the programManage configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsPartner with the Program Chief Engineer in ensuring the engineering team aligns to cost/scheduleProvide technical directions to multi-disciplinary program teamsImplement and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the program lifecycleOversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plansCoordinate system engineering activities, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testingConduct system-level trade studies and performance analysisParticipate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentationsSupport program management with technical risk assessments and mitigation strategiesEnsures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs architectural explorationDecomposes customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirementsQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics) and 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experienceEW/Radar system development, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and system-level integration & verification planningExperience developing systems engineering artifacts such as requirements, specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification/validation (V&V) plansExperience supporting system-level technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering teamsActive and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S.
