This is an onsite role in Goleta, CA.What You Will DoServe as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the programManage configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsPartner with the Program Chief Engineer in ensuring the engineering team aligns to cost/scheduleProvide technical directions to multi-disciplinary program teamsImplement and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the program lifecycleOversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plansCoordinate system engineering activities, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testingConduct system-level trade studies and performance analysisParticipate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentationsSupport program management with technical risk assessments and mitigation strategiesEnsures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs architectural explorationDecomposes customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirementsQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics) and 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experienceEW/Radar system development, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and system-level integration & verification planningExperience developing systems engineering artifacts such as requirements, specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification/validation (V&V) plansExperience supporting system-level technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering teamsActive and transferable U.S.

government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceQualifications We PreferWriting, managing, and tracing system and subsystem requirements for EW/Radar systems throughout the lifecycleDefining system architectures, performance budgets, and interface definitions (RF, digital, and mixed?signal)Planning and overseeing development of Special Test Equipment (STE) and system?level test infrastructureAnalyzing and modeling EW/Radar system performance, including RF chain, signal processing, and end?to?end behaviorKnowledge of millimeter wave and microwave RF at the module and system levelsIntegrating mixed signal modules into higher level assemblies, including interface and configuration managementExperience developing or interpreting security and cybersecurity requirements relevant to government systemsModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processes, including SysML and Cameo Enterprise ArchitectureFlight test or field test experience supporting system-level evaluation and data analysisWhat We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
