Responsibilities
- Preparing and executing a mixed portfolio of subcontracts
- Managing performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
- Identifying strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations
- Understanding the buyer and seller’s roles to establish mutually successful business arrangements
- Specifying solicitations and bid packages
- Evaluating proposals and negotiating prices/terms
- Developing and administrating contractual documentation and post awards
- Leveraging your skill and talents throughout this role
- Creating and establishing commercial determinations for purchase awards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience or a master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: Subcontracts, Contracts, Proposal Price/Cost analysis, Procurement, Program Management, Supply Chain, Project Management, Advanced Planning, and/or Strategic Sourcing
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS
- Supplier selection/management experience on US Government contract(s)
- Experience working within a government approved purchasing system
- Experience with management of complex subcontracts
