- Lead work on medium and large projects
- Manage and grow a team of Structural Engineers
- Evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems or products for projects
- Proactively represent the firm and pursue opportunities for new business
- Develop and deliver client presentations
- Assist with the development of design standards
- Hire top tier talent and mentor existing staff
- Participate in the development of business plans
- Attend and/or participate in events for leadership visibility
- Act as QC reviewer on projects
Requirements
- 15+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) and Structural Engineering (SE) license is required
- Requisite knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes
- Strong knowledge of structural systems, seismic and wind design, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards
- Deep understanding and working knowledge of steel framing, concrete framing, and wood framing systems
- Ability to communicate ideas to Architects, Engineers, and Owner clients effectively
- Ability to check work of others for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team settings
- Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit)
- Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)
- Experience with Big Room meetings and HCAI design experience
