As a strategic consulting partner, we bring deep domain expertise, engineering excellence, and a commitment to building scalable, modern, and secure platforms.We are currently supporting our client in hiring a Principal Software Engineer for their Patient Insurance & Payments engineering team.Role OverviewThe Principal Software Engineer will play a critical role in designing and building next-generation payment and insurance capabilities for the Client's healthcare platform.

This team develops PCI-compliant payment solutions, including credit card, cheque, and ACH processing, while driving financial transparency and improving the patient payment experience.You are a senior full-stack engineer with extensive experience building enterprise applications in cloud environments. You excel at communication, mentorship, and navigating the complexity of healthcare and payment systems.About the TeamThis engineering team owns a core component of the Client's revenue cycle platform, supporting medical providers across the U.S. They build features that help clinicians and practices:Capture accurate patient insurance informationUnderstand eligibility and benefitsImprove price transparencySimplify billing workflowsProvide flexible and patient-friendly payment optionsThe team's mission is to make healthcare billing and payments clear, efficient, and seamless for both providers and patients.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce clear, detailed, and accurate technical design specifications.Lead hands-on design and development within an Agile team (Engineers, Product Owner, Scrum Master, UX Designer).Mentor engineers, share technical insights, and drive engineering best practices.Act as a domain expert and take ownership of end-to-end delivery for core features.Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering leadership to develop strategic solutions.Qualifications10+ years of strong software engineering experience with solid computer science principles.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Deep hands-on expertise with Java, ReactJS/Angular, and JavaScript.Strong understanding of Linux, SQL, RESTful APIs, AWS (EC2, Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with Perl, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Terraform, or similar technologies is a plus.Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
