To support the development of a new connectivity agent, the remote Principal Software Engineer - IBM i will design, develop, and maintain software for integrating IBM i (AS/400) environments with Redwood's automation platform, focusing on job submission, monitoring, and security enhancements. Key responsibilities Design and implement software for connectivity and integration with IBM i (AS/400) environments Integrate IBM i functionality with Redwood's platform using native APIs and ensure security through user profiles Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions Required qualifications 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Java 8+ skills Hands-on experience with IBM i (AS/400) integration, including CL and DB2 for i Proficiency in C, including ILE C on IBM i Experience with modern DevOps practices and technologies, including Git and CI/CD Familiarity with workload automation products such as Control-M or RunMyJobs preferred
