Principal Software Engineer, Tempe Az.We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer who will be responsible for the suite of Finance Technology applications and systems. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all infrastructure and environments for Financial applications including integration of data requirements and process modernization.ResponsibilitiesLead the build, configure, and troubleshoot Financial application systems (PeopleSoft/ERP systems)Manages all deliverables between on-site and off-site vendor teamsLead and Responsible for assuring adherence to Enterprise Software Delivery MethodologyAnalyze, design, and implement a plan for new systems or processesProvide recommendations and implementation for optimizing standard processesManage application security related activity and ensure proper execution for vulnerability management including application upgradesResponsible for effective installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and the related infrastructure within the PeopleSoft/ERP environments and Oracle/SQL databasesResponsible for activities related to building, configuring, debugging, maintaining, performance tuning and supporting PeopleSoft/ERP applications for development, testing, QA, production, and disaster recoveryPeopleSoft Application, and web server administration activities including installation, configuration, security, monitoring, space management, automation scripting, disaster recoveryResearch, plan, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade systemResponsible maintenance and management of PeopleSoft/ERP database reporting infrastructureWorks closely with developers, support, and QA teams to maintain all Financial systems and respective environments7+ years' experience working with enterprise scale Software Systems – OnPrem and/or CloudManage and oversee data requirements, and testing aligned to development of new applications based on customer's requirements and specificationsProvides leadership for technical support and leads the troubleshooting of problems related to applications.Ability to work independently and with limited direction to prioritize tasks and organize workflow under narrow time limitations, and appropriately communicate changes and progress.Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management and staff.Ability to construct presentations and communications in a logical manner, sensitive to diverse audience's needs.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 7 years of software development and SDLC experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.5+ years' experience working with enterprise systems.Strong programming skills and Advanced SQL scripting skills7+ years of System Administration experience and ERP applications and related technologies.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.Proficient with Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools, such as, PeopleCode/iScript, Web Services, Application Engine, Component Interface & Integration Broker, nVision, XML Publisher, Application Designer, Security (incl. RLS), Workflow, SQL/SQR, Process Scheduler, Data Archiving, Performance Tuning,Knowledge of Financial System modules - General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Asset ManagementHands-on experience with Restful Web Services, web applications, JSM, transactional databases, and NoSQL databasesExperience with large integration programs and enterprise solutionsExperience with software architecture patterns and relational database designStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organizationExperience with Agile Methodologies in a distributed team environment is a plusGood knowledge and/or certification on AWS Cloud Infrastructure
