Description
As an integral part of our Foundational Systems Engineering department located in Linthicum, MD, you will accelerate the delivery of capabilities to our customers through advanced models and simulations of platforms, sensors, weapons, and their interactions with the environment.
- Utilize Modeling, Simulation, Experimentation, and Analysis (MSE&A) using C++ object-oriented design, advanced data structures, and test-driven development.
- Develop large scale data analytics, probabilities, and statistics, including design of experiments for evaluating system and mission performance.
- Integrate MS&A with operational flight software, collect and analyze data from laboratory or flight tests, verify simulation performance against flight test data and formally verify that models meet specified requirements.
- Produce publication-quality reports that define simulation credibility and provide artifacts for formal Simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VVA).
- Innovate to solve problems and identify improvements across MSE&A products.
- Perform operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.
- Develop or integrate existing system simulation frameworks, performance models, algorithms, threat models, and command and control models.
- Model operational environments, conduct trade studies via computer simulation, and recommend alternative architectures.
- Simulate real-time operations and develop software that models system behavior.
- Develop, integrate, and use advanced graphical user interface and visualization tools.
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Radar Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer or as a Senior Principal Radar Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer.
This position is contingent upon contract award, successful transfer of an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
Principal Radar Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience, Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience, Ph.D. with 1 year’s experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A current/active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain/maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Bash or C shell scripting on Linux and Windows.
- Experience with simulation of RF, EOIR, Communications or related systems.
- Experience with digital signal processing and complex-valued signal data.
- Experience with analytical modeling using MATLAB.
Senior Principal Radar Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years’ experience, Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience, Ph.D. with 4 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain/maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Bash or C shell scripting on Linux and Windows.
- Experience with simulation of RF, EOIR, Communications or related systems.
- Experience with digital signal processing and complex-valued signal data.
- Experience with analytical modeling using MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance or higher.
- Advanced degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with Modeling, Experimentation, Simulation, and Analysis.
- Experience with real-time and/or reactive simulation software development.
- Experience with statistics, design of experiments, analytics, high-performance computing.
- Experience developing and validating radar modes.
- Experience with adaptive signal processing and optimal estimation theory.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering and Integration & Test processes.
- Experience with DPC, CUDA, OpenCL, Verilog, VHDL, or other domain-specific languages.
- Experience with Agile and/or SAFe methodologies.

Salary Range
Primary Level: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00
Secondary Level: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00
