Lead the full delivery of major capital projects from concept and feasibility through engineering, construction, commissioning, startup, and handover. The role involves managing internal teams, contractors, budgets, schedules, risks, and technical execution within complex industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver large-scale capital projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout.
- Lead project engineers, contractors, suppliers, and external engineering partners.
- Develop and control project scopes, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and execution plans.
- Provide clear updates on progress, costs, risks, and required actions.
- Coordinate with Operations, Reliability, Production, Procurement, and Business Development.
- Support cost estimates, vendor selection, bid reviews, and commercial negotiations.
- Lead HAZOPs, MOCs, safety reviews, regulatory compliance, and project governance.
- Minimise scope changes and ensure complete documentation and final handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 15+ years of capital project experience.
- Background in industrial manufacturing, industrial gases, chemicals, energy, or related process industries.
- Proven experience managing complex projects, budgets, schedules, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of industrial construction, commissioning, startup, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, commercial, and stakeholder-management skills.
