Principal Project Engineer - Communication, Navigation and Surveillance

* Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work, and associated cost estimates
* Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager
* Define and implement project scope, objectives, and deliverables
* Prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft Project
* Monitor project progress and adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management metrics
* Lead risk management processes to identify and mitigate project delivery risks and issues
* Contain scope growth through baseline change management
* Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, provide project updates, and address concerns
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices
* Lead and manage a team of engineers, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and drive operational excellence
* Design, build, and maintain aerospace safety systems through Honeywell Aerospace's CNS organization
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
* Minimum 8 years of project experience or technical CM role developing FAA/EASA certified commercial avionics systems in the Aerospace industry
* Experience with CNS products and PE processes
* Gold Level EVMS certification or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
* Ability to lead teams to fast, practical solutions using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
* Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements
* Passion for innovation and continuous learning
* Able to travel to customer and internal Honeywell Aerospace meetings both domestic and international
* U.S. Person status, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status under asylum or refugee status, or ability to obtain an export authorization
