Principal Project Engineer – Honeywell Aerospace Anthem Avionics
Honeywell Anthem is the industry’s first cloud‑connected, “always‑on” Integrated Cockpit system, delivering cloud‑native communications, navigation, and surveillance. As Principal Project Engineer you will lead the planning and execution of Honeywell Aerospace Anthem customer projects, making decisions on program cost, schedule, technical and tactical execution for complex systems that advance safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Apply global project methodology and provide technical leadership across cross‑functional teams.
- Plan and execute Honeywell Aerospace proprietary customer programs.
- Define features and drive overall program performance.
- Prioritize work packages and oversee program cost, schedule, and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with integrated avionics systems and complex system‑of‑systems architectures.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, certification standards, and compliance processes.
- Business acumen, including familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program financials.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary engineering programs.
- Strong ability to operate with minimal supervision and make high‑impact decisions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of change management and configuration management.
U.S. Person Requirement
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S., or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
