Job TitleSpecifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety | Participates in cross-functional teams to assess technical needs and feasibility | Designs, develops, executes and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans | Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability | Lays out and draws schematic or angle views to review functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems and machines This position is located at our Main Plant facility.Impact of the RoleRequires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or fieldUses advanced techniques, theories, and processes to complete workLeads others to solve complex problemsWorks independently, with guidance in only the most complex situationsMay lead functional teams or projectsConsistent exercise of discretion & judgmentEssential FunctionsUsing engineering techniques, helps to design, maintain, or improve new or existing products and/or components.Designs, models, and tests prototypes for products.Conducts research and creates design proposals for projects.Establishes design briefs.Creates concepts, performance, and production criteria. Identifies and selects materials needed for production.Makes samples of working models for demonstration.Recommends appropriate production processes and improves usability of the product.Required QualificationsRequired education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experienceDiscipline/Major: Engineering degree requiredCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Preferred QualificationsPreferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge, skills & abilities: Technical skills. Oral and written communications skills.
