What You Will Do
- Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Drive manufacturing quality through hardware inspection, working hands on with the product and cross functional team to drive root cause corrective action.
- Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.
- Engage manufacturing defect prevention teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Lead and drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand with the ability to perform verification/validation of improvements and efficiencies.
- Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Requires a bachelor’s in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and a minimum of eight (8) years related experience.
- Experience in identifying root cause, initiating and implementing effective short‑term and long‑term corrective actions in a cross‑functional process improvement environment.
- Experience in development and use of quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long‑term corrective action, and in the identification and institution of perceptive verifications.
- Experience in manufacturing process with industry technical standards, interpreting drawings and work instructions.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- J‑STD‑001, Six Sigma, Lean experience and/or ASQ certifications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Proficient in the use of pareto analysis, cause and effect diagrams, process mapping.
- Able to facilitate cross‑functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. Six‑sigma and lean manufacturing).

Salary range for this role is USD 107,500 – 204,500.
