Principal Network Architect

Full-time direct hire position. Applicants must currently have an active Secret Security Clearance or higher. Visa sponsorship, 1099 status, or C2C arrangements are not available.

What will you be doing?

Principal Network Architect for the U.S. Coast Guard team, responsible for evaluating and optimizing enterprise network designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal network architect evaluating and optimizing enterprise network designs.
• Review and analyze current network architecture, performance metrics, and infrastructure to identify bottlenecks and assess future capacity needs.
• Design and recommend scalable architectural improvements focused on performance, reliability, and security.
• Ensure all network solutions align with long‑term strategic and organizational objectives.
• Conduct ongoing research into emerging technologies, including new hardware, software, and protocols.
• Perform technical evaluations, cost‑benefit analyses, and proof-of-concept testing to validate proposed innovations.
• Provide expert technical leadership within the work group, leveraging deep knowledge in specialized technology domains.

Required Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• Typically 12+ years of relevant network engineering or architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technology field.
• Possession of an industry‑recognized advanced networking certification.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or CTP OEMs.

Preferred Locations

On‑site in Alexandria, VA.

Salary

Estimated base pay range: $185,000.00 to $195,000.00 annually. Actual salary will depend on factors such as location, experience, and job performance.
