What will you get to do?

  • Support project teams in multiple capacities including design of mechanical systems, fabrication drawings, BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings, etc.
  • Communicate optimally within a team environment.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal engineering design reviews.
  • Generate content for project proposals, including developing concepts and estimating effort and equipment cost.
  • Support technicians in solving problems and offering solutions during machine build.

What will you bring to the team?

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university, plus equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a design engineering role with experience indirectly coaching and guiding junior team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment.
  • Familiarity with motion systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, robots, etc.
  • Experience as a user of CAD packages; SolidWorks preferred.
  • Use of engineering tools such as Mathcad, Ansys, or equivalent FEA packages is a plus.
  • Experience designing mechanisms for automation, complex electro‑mechanical systems, and/or mechanical solutions that require a high level of precision is a plus.
