We are seeking a senior designer and business leader responsible for a regional landscape architecture studio’s design vision, team leadership, client relationships, financial performance, and strategic growth . The role requires an ownership mindset and a strong track record in complex, design-driven work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set the studio’s design direction and maintain high standards for creativity, technical quality, sustainability, and execution.
- Lead complex, multi-million-dollar projects from concept through construction, particularly across commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, civic, multifamily, retail, and master-planned work.
- Lead, mentor, hire, and develop a high-performing design team and future leaders.
- Oversee project portfolios, staffing, budgets, schedules, profitability, utilization, and overall studio performance.
- Build and maintain key client relationships and lead proposals, pursuits, presentations, and business-development efforts.
- Identify new markets, clients, and growth opportunities while strengthening the studio’s reputation and visibility.
- Foster collaboration across offices, disciplines, and project teams.
- Represent the firm through industry organizations, conferences, community engagement, and thought leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- 13-15+ years of progressive landscape architecture experience.
- PLA
- Proven leadership of complex, multi-million-dollar projects from concept through construction.
- Strong commercial/mixed-use portfolio with experience across multiple project types.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams, developing talent, and overseeing studio operations.
