Overview

Principal Integrations Engineer. This role is office-based in Pune or Hyderabad, India. Role type: Full-time. Experience level: 7+ years in Enterprise Integrations. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Integrations Engineer / Integration Developer with deep hands-on expertise in MuleSoft to design, build, and support scalable, secure, and reliable integrations across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is a strong integration technologist who can design API-led connectivity, build enterprise orchestration frameworks, and deliver high-quality integration solutions across the organization2 s application landscape. This role requires strong technical depth, hands-on delivery ownership, and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams across IT, Product, Security, and Business Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (APIs, flows, RAML, DataWeave, Anypoint Studio, CloudHub).
  • Build reusable APIs, connectors, transformations, orchestrations, and error-handling frameworks.
  • Implement integration patterns including event streaming, batch processing, webhooks, and asynchronous orchestration.
  • Define and maintain canonical data models, integration blueprints, and reusable frameworks.
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations across enterprise systems (GTM, Finance, HR, Support, ERP, Data platforms).
  • Ensure integrations meet enterprise standards for security, governance, compliance, and data privacy. Apply knowledge of OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, secrets management, and API security best practices. Support lifecycle governance for APIs, versioning, monitoring, and access control. Optimize system performance, latency, throughput, and platform reliability across the MuleSoft landscape.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, and analytics using APM, distributed tracing, and other best practices. Support CI/CD pipelines and branching strategies for integration deployments (Git-based workflows), automated testing, and collaboration with DevOps for maturity.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues across environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to fellow developers and integration engineers. Participate in Agile execution of integration programs, ensuring predictable delivery and high engineering standards. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define integration requirements and success criteria.

Youve got what it takes if you have

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in integration development, distributed systems, or enterprise solution design.
  • Deep expertise in MuleSoft (APIs, flows, RAML, DataWeave, Anypoint Runtime, CloudHub, Anypoint Studio).
  • Expert-level understanding of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, webhooks, event streaming (Kafka), and EDA patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols including OAuth, SAML, JWT, SSL/TLS, and secrets management.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise-scale SDLC processes.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1 and Level 2 certification.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with AI-driven or agentic automation, including use of Claude or other LLM-based tools to support integration development, documentation, or testing and agent building.
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as Oracle Fusion ERP, ServiceNow, Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with data platforms including Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or enterprise data lakes.
  • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect / Platform Architect.
  • Experience with service mesh, event hubs, and microservices architecture.
