Job Summary
Principal Firmware Verification Engineer – Onsite, U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status requiring an existing U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret). Location: 1001 Boston Post Rd, BLDG 2, Marlbrough, MA.
Responsibilities
- Generate firmware verification requirements based on the system architecture.
- Write firmware verification documentation that describes the verification architecture, test plans, and coverage.
- Build Universal Verification Methodology Framework (UVMF)/System‑Verilog testbenches with agents, predictors, scoreboards, and test cases to verify HDL‑based designs.
- Create scripts to automate verification and test activities.
- Lead, mentor, and instruct firmware engineers on verification practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience; or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience or 5 years with an advanced degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
- Proficiency in System‑Verilog and VHDL.
- Experience with verified communication interfaces and bus standards (AXI, SPI, I2C, PCIe, UART, Gb Ethernet).
- Experience with test and verification of FPGA designs and logic analyzers, high‑speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, or target device debugging tools.
- Experience with UVMF, formal verification, and scripting in TCL, Perl, or Python in a Linux environment.
- Source‑control experience with GIT, SVN, or ClearCase.
- Demonstrated contribution in cross‑functional Agile development environments.
Salary
Salary range: 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD.
