Owning the understanding and forecasting of Airbnb's total cloud and AI spend, the remote eligible Principal Finance & Analytics will manage cost narratives, lead planning cycles, and identify efficiency opportunities to optimize spending without compromising product or employee experience. Key responsibilities Build and maintain monthly/weekly cloud and AI cost forecasts, explaining variance drivers to leadership Partner with engineering teams to validate and prioritize efficiency initiatives while tracking AI spend by category Prepare and present cost updates to senior audiences, translating technical data into financial narratives Required qualifications 10 years of finance, FP&A, or cost management experience, with exposure to cloud infrastructure costs Prior experience with AI/ML infrastructure costs strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to build and maintain complex financial models in fast-changing environments Strong track record of partnering with engineering teams to translate usage data
