Role
Digital Grid Management (DGM) is part of Emerson's Aspen Technology business. AspenTech DGM’s industry‑leading solutions serve more than 450 utilities customers worldwide, enabling the resilient, sustainable and intelligent utility of the future. Digital Grid Management’s Enhanced Value Program (EVP) services consulting contracts with DGM customers across their monarch platform to ensure maximum value is extracted from their installations. As a Principal Enhanced Value Consultant, you own strategic and technical direction for two complex EVP customers, serve as the recognized expert in one AspenTech Digital Grid Management (DGM)/monarch application or stack, and shape multi‑quarter value plans.
Impact
- Own value roadmaps for two complex customers; align with product capabilities and adoption.
- Serve as stack expert; set direction, guardrails, and best practices.
- Architect Improvement Sprints with quantified outcomes and risk controls.
- Lead escalations requiring deep technical expertise.
- Mentor professional and senior‑level talent; drive standards and quality.
- Produce frameworks, training modules, and reusable accelerators for team use.
- Channel field insights into Product for roadmap/feature evaluation.
EVP Engagement Model
- Work with two EVP customer contracts at a time (~12 hours/week per customer).
- Drive value on internal initiatives: knowledge assets, process improvements, training/enablement, mentoring, troubleshooting practices, and structured product feedback.
- Support and influence additional EVP clients on more complex accounts with the team as needed.
- Maintain NERC‑CIP awareness and follow customer site protocol as work frequently involves NERC‑regulated customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Strong technical background in automation and computers with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with electrical utility control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS) or experience working in utility operations.
- Expert‑level mastery of one monarch application or stack.
- Proven background driving value and impact with key stakeholders and customers.
- Strong architectural judgment and customer advisory experience.
- Ability to lead complex problem‑solving and cross‑functional execution.
- Ability to travel up to 40 %
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing and deploying multi‑system workflows.
- Familiarity with advanced testing, validation, or migration approaches.

Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $115,100.00 – $143,900.00. This range represents the base compensation range for the role at the time of posting and may be adjusted based on various factors. The role is eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
