The Role: Impact & Ownership

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Engineer to lead the architecture, performance, and codebase for our growing Digital Asset Management Platform. In this role, you won’t just sit in ivory-tower meetings—you will actively build, influence, and innovate. You will own the technical roadmap, mentor a global engineering team, and act as the critical bridge between complex business requirements and elegant, scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

  SaaS Expertise: 10+ years of experience building production-grade SaaS platforms, including 3+ years operating as a Tech Lead or Principal Engineer owning outcomes across multiple engineers.

  Backend Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in C# .NET, ASP.NET, and XUnit.

  Cloud-Native Architecture: 4+ years of deep, hands-on experience leveraging the AWS ecosystem—specifically API Gateway, EC2, Cognito, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, and DynamoDB.

  Frontend Literacy: A strong enough understanding of React and TypeScript patterns to confidently review PRs and architect clean, seamless interfaces.

  Leadership & Communication: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional technical initiatives.

  Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (an advanced degree is a plus!).

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors, including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements. This role operates in a hybrid capacity, 3 days per week onsite in our studios in Tribeca, New York City.
