Principal Engineer - GenAI Team

We seek a Principal Engineer to lead the engineering approach for the Global Markets Generative AI platform, ensuring scalable, reliable solutions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop the engineering approach for the entire program/portfolio solution and work with Architecture to deliver implementation of technical enablers.
• Lead the planning, definition, and design of complex features spanning multiple teams and explore solution alternatives.
• Create innovative designs for technology and solution development approaches.
• Provide technical oversight for teams, including design reviews and code within own domain.
• Define the technology tool stack within internally approved technologies.
• Explore state‑of‑the‑art technologies to improve development efficiencies, test coverage, and release management.
• Lead end‑to‑end test strategy and integration across teams for a program/portfolio solution.
• Collaborate with Sales & Trading and Quantitative teams to build out the Generative AI platform.
• Identify, design, and implement applications with scalability and availability requirements, especially with Agents.
• Develop architectural approaches for Generative AI software and hardware integration with emphasis on scaling with Agents.
• Work with stakeholders from business and technology to optimize product design.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in Machine Learning, Data Analytics, AI.
• Experience implementing Generative AI solutions highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Generative AI and machine learning frameworks, products, and tools for agentic solutions.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing multi‑tier (including microservices) application platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including object‑oriented techniques and REST API development.
• In‑depth knowledge of databases, large structured and unstructured dataset processing, and messaging.
• Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders to drive technology strategy and align with organizational goals.
• A self‑starter who adapts quickly to new technologies and industry trends.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for independent and collaborative environments.

Desired Qualifications

• Higher education in computer science or relevant previous work experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience and a degree in engineering.

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Hours per Week: 40

Pay Range: $156,500.00 – $230,000.00 annualized salary, determined based on experience, education, and skill set. Eligible for annual discretionary incentive.
