Principal Engineer - GenAI / Full Stack

Immediate need for a talented Principal Engineer - GenAI / Full Stack. This is a long term contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid).

Job ID: Pay Range: $80 - $85/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy GenAI-powered solutions using Devin, Claude Code, and Cursor
  • Integrate GenAI tools into enterprise SDLC workflows (CI/CD, internal platforms)
  • Partner closely with LOB teams to accelerate delivery and improve the end-to-end product lifecycle using GenAI capabilities
  • Lead tool onboarding, training, and enablement, driving adoption and best practices across teams
  • Monitor and optimize tool usage, efficiency, and performance outcomes
  • Establish and drive best practices for GenAI usage, including prompt engineering and workflow integration
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting, performance tuning, and scaling support

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Strong full-stack engineering experience (Java, React/Angular/TypeScript, Python)
  • Experience with distributed systems, APIs, Event Driven and microservices architecture
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Ex. OCP, GCP)
  • GenAI / LLM Expertise (Must-Have)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Devin
    • Claude / Anthropic models
    • Developer tools like Cursor / Copilot-equivalent tools
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Prompt engineering
    • RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
    • Agent-based workflows / tool usage
    • Multi-agent architectures
    • MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and integrations
    • Agentic services and autonomous AI workflows, including orchestration, tool chaining, and decision-driven execution across systems.
  • Soft Skills & Expectations
    • Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments with high adoption demands
    • Strong collaboration with cross-functional and LOB teams
    • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
    • Experience working in enterprise environments with governance and compliance requirements
    • Passion for enabling teams and driving measurable productivity improvements
