This role serves as the senior technical authority for structural engineering, providing leadership, design oversight, and technical guidance across multiple projects from FEL/FEED through EPC execution.The Principal Engineer will lead complex engineering efforts, drive technical excellence, mentor engineering staff, and work closely with clients, project teams, and leadership to deliver safe, economical, and constructible solutions.ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical authority for structural engineering on Power and Industrial projectsLead the design and review of structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation systemsReview and approve calculations, specifications, technical studies, and engineering deliverablesDevelop technical specifications and scopes of work for structural and geotechnical materialsProvide technical leadership during FEL/FEED, detailed design, and EPC executionLead resolution of complex engineering challenges and non-standard design conditionsMentor engineers and support technical development across the organizationInterface with clients, project management, and engineering leadership as a trusted advisorEnsure compliance with applicable codes, safety requirements, and quality standardsSupport constructability reviews, material selection, site walkdowns, construction support, and troubleshootingCoordinate across disciplines to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality project deliveryQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university15+ years of structural engineering experience supporting Power, Energy, or Industrial facilitiesProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredStrong expertise in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation designThorough understanding of AISC, ACI, and applicable building codesExperience with STAAD.Pro, RISA, Enercalc, or similar structural analysis softwareProven ability to lead complex technical decisions and mentor engineering teamsStrong written, verbal, and presentation skillsAbility to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environmentStructural Engineer (SE) licenseMaster's degree in Structural Engineering or related disciplineExperience supporting large EPC and design-build projectsPower generation, utility, chemical, or heavy industrial project experienceConstruction support and field engineering experienceLead technical execution on large-scale Power and Industrial projectsInfluence engineering standards, design quality, and project successMentor and develop the next generation of engineering talentWork alongside industry experts in a collaborative engineering environmentCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
