JOB GOAL:
To establish an educational climate that strives to insure the health, safety and wellbeing of the school community through a program to develop positive student behavior: to provide and maintain quality instruction and related services; to supervise professional staff; to develop a meaningful and appropriate instructional program; to work with staff on curriculum development and evaluation; and to work cooperatively with the vice principal in all phases of the total educational program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility
- Minimum experience of two years as a Principal, Vice Principal or in a school leadership role
- At least five years of successful teaching experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development, program evaluation, staff development and school improvement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated skills to use the computer as a management tool
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
SUPERVISES: All Certified and Non-certified staff assigned to the school
