Principal Electrical Engineer (Fully Remote)
A leading engineering and energy solutions organization is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support complex power systems projects across utility, renewable, and industrial environments. This is a fully remote opportunity offering high-impact technical leadership and involvement in large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
Lead electrical engineering design and analysis for power systems, including transmission, distribution, and generation assets
Perform system studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and stability analysis
Provide technical oversight on interconnection studies and grid integration for renewable energy projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project management, operations, and regulatory stakeholders
Review and approve engineering deliverables, drawings, and technical specifications
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects
Interface with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and regulatory bodies as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
~10+ years of experience in power systems engineering
~ Familiarity with NERC compliance and FERC regulatory frameworks
~ Experience working with utilities, developers, or EPC firms
Renewable energy (solar, wind, BESS) project experience
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical facilities
