Principal Electrical Engineer-Project Lead

Position Overview

The Radar Digital Products Department within Raytheon is hiring an Electrical Engineering Project Lead. The role is 100% onsite and requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct teams of electrical engineers through custom military hardware design and verification.
• Plan, budget, and conduct internal and external design reviews.
• Coordinate cross‑functional project teams within larger programs or R&D efforts.
• Resolve issues, manage risks, and capitalize on opportunities.
• Present progress and technical status to various levels of management and customers.
• Manage subcontractors and proposal writing, including cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical hardware design and development.
• Experience leading complex technical projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SAP, and other scheduling/cost management tools.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Earned Value Management certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with PCB and FPGA design standards.
• Subcontract management experience.
• Ability to assimilate inputs from multiple sources and derive design and operational requirements.

Compensation

Salary range: 107,500 – 204,500 USD.
