As a key member of our team, the right candidate is expected to make experience-based decisions and recommendations that best support current and future products.

An in-depth understanding of all aspects of hardware design, implementation and support from concept to production launch is required.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and invent new high-quality product concepts for GSSI GPR productsHelp to evaluate and make hardware technology decisions and roadmaps based on experienceHands on electrical hardware development and support from concept to production launch including circuit design, schematic design, PCB design, testing and documentationEvaluate complex systems and components by designing and conducting research and development programs when appropriateWork directly with Production staff to help support products throughout their entire product life cycleWork independently and within groups to meet multiple goals simultaneouslyDesign test methods and test equipment for finished products to ensure hardware meets and maintains stated system-level and quality requirementsCommunicate progress and challenges during development with functional and project managementMaintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulationsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.RequiredMinimum of a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.15+ years of related Electrical Engineering experienceProven ability to deliver high-quality complex solutions on time and on budget both as a team lead and a team memberSignificant experience in both complex digital and analog PCB designsExperience with FPGA based designs and hardware description languages including VHDL and VerilogProven experience with high-speed circuit designFull product lifecycle experience from concept through to manufacturingMust be able to work both independently and within varying sized groupsFamiliar with quality assurance principles and root cause analysis related to electronic and mechanical fabrication and assemblyExperience and interest in mentoring other engineersPreferred QualificationsExperience with the following:RF system designEmbedded systems designRadar systems and related technologiesAltium Designer schematic capture and layoutUse of simulation tools for analog and digital circuit designPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
