Principal Digital Electrical EngineerCollins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Principal Digital Electrical Engineer to perform duties at a work center with an emphasis on communications products. The primary work product is the complete digital design of a PCB (Printed Wiring Board) from inception through layout and assembly.The successful candidate must operate with the highest level of personal integrity, adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, and adhere to accepted processes to ensure successful completion of projects. Other desirable attributes include being able to work under own initiative, be calm under pressure and responsive to change with a logical approach to technical problem resolution and decision making.What you will do:Design Digital Circuit Cards from inception through layout and assemblyCoordinate with other disciplines to ensure requirements are met at every level of designWork with ECAD designers to generate full Databases and Drawings to build PWB/CCAsPerform Design Analyses (Timing, Power, Signal Integrity)Perform Design Verification and TroubleshootingProduce and Present Design DocumentationQualifications you must have:Ability to take a design concept from requirements to CCA developmentExperience with printed circuit board (PCB) design process and expertise in full suite of design toolsProficient in Design Verification/Analysis – Timing/Power/Signal Integrity analysis, bench-level testing, troubleshooting, and test results analysisMinimum 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer developing digital/mixed signal high speed Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is requiredU.S.
